Job Title: Chemist OperatorJob Description

The Chemist Operator will produce Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients using Chemical Reactors. They will follow a specific Batch Record to ensure a consistent product.

Responsibilities
  • Handle various unit operations such as reactions, filtration, distillation, drying, milling, etc., performed on raw materials and at various stages of chemical processing according to written manufacturing procedures and SOPs.
  • Follow and document per batch sheet instructions to produce products in accordance with all cGMP guidelines.
  • Set up equipment including vessels, tanks, centrifuges, and dryers for proper processing.
  • Clean and verify equipment and vessels.
  • Record observations of operating conditions.
  • Drive and operate a fork truck.
  • Prioritize work and make timing decisions with supervisory oversight.
  • Adjust utilities to maintain reaction parameters.
  • Maintain process flow through the plant while adhering to all safety, GMP, and environmental regulations/standards.
Essential Skills
  • Experience as a Chemist Operator.
  • Knowledge of GC and Analytical Chemistry.
  • Proficiency in Chemical Operating and Chemistry.
  • Experience in Batching.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • 2-3 years of Pharma Chemical Operating experience preferred.
Work Environment

The work environment consists of a clean laboratory and production environment. The shift follows a 2-2-3 schedule, operating from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with work occurring every other weekend.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grafton, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $26.50/hr.
