Chaplain Resident - Clinical Pastoral Education

The Chaplain Resident provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, their families, guests, and staff. Simultaneously the Chaplain Resident is actively engaging in an action-reflection, process model of education that focuses on the development and enhancement of the student's professional competency and pastoral identity. Reports to the Manager, Clinical Pastoral Education (CE) and works under the day to day supervision of the CE and assigned Spiritual Services Leader. The CPE Resident participates in on-call duty rotation. The program is designed for one year.

Required Qualifications:    

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations.
