Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Full-Time | Direct Hire

Floating Position: Travel to two locations in the Ocala area and one in the Lady Lake area (only one location per day) with mileage reimbursement

Location - Ocala, FL

$18 – $23/Hr (based on experience)

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

No Nights | No Weekends

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a growing healthcare team in Zephyrhills, FL. In this role, you will support a multispecialty team, delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients across a variety of medical disciplines.

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering a consistent weekday schedule and comprehensive benefits starting on Day One. Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures with professionalism and empathy
  • Record vital signs, patient intake, and clinical data in Epic EMR
  • Assist providers during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered (if certified)
  • Perform EKGs, urinalysis, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe exam rooms and equipment

Administrative & Clinic Support

  • Assist with scheduling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out
  • Float between clinic locations within the Zephyrhills area as needed
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and clinical regulations
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and care teams

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA)
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of CMA experience
  • Multispecialty experience preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Ability to work at one site or float between nearby locations
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Compensation & Benefits
