Job Summary:

Multiple Specialty Clinics | Day shift | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Franklin IN | 1-3 years of CMA experience | Certification Mandatory

Join our dynamic specialization supportingvarious specialty clinicsconnected to the hospital as aCertified Medical Assistant. You will play a vital role in patient care, assisting a team that sees approximately 120-150 patients monthly. This position offers a supportive and educational environment with a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers by rooming patients, obtaining blood pressure, documenting signs and symptoms, and taking weight and temperature, while completing medical history documentation.
  • Set up for and assist providers with various tests including urinalyses, strep, flu, pregnancy tests, and other specialty-specific tests.
  • Schedule tests, radiology exams, appointments with specialists, and enter check-in/check-out information in the EMR. Perform prior authorizations as needed.
  • Assist with office exams, collect height, weight, BMI, and update immunization records.
  • Conduct phone triage, handle patient medical questions, test results, medication refills, and perform call-backs.
  • Perform walk-in patient duties such as triage and blood pressure checks.
  • Function as a resource to visitors, providers, and staff, maintaining a courteous and clear communication channel.
  • Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, standards, and clinic policies, including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have:Active CMA (AAMA), RMA, or CCMA certification and graduation from a recognized medical assistant training course or equivalent experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Competency in rooming patients, EMR, vitals, appointment scheduling, and phlebotomy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a CMA preferred.
  • Experience in family practice or women's health is a plus.
  • Experience with Point of Care (POC) testing and EMR systems is advantageous.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.22 - $23.00/hr.
