Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to transport metals between customer locations, processing facilities, and yards. This role is ideal for a driver who takes pride in equipment care, safe hauling practices, and consistent, on-time deliveries.


Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to haul ferrous and non‑ferrous metals
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload scrap metal containers and materials
  • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report maintenance needs
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations
  • Complete required paperwork, logs, and reports accurately and on time
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, yard personnel, and customers
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of assigned equipment
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 3 years of Class A driving experience (scrap, flatbed, roll‑off, or end‑dump experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of hauling metals is a plus
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, climb, and perform physical tasks associated with hauling operations
  • Must pass DOT physical and drug screen

This position will work Monday to Friday on first shift and will be home every night.

This is a Permanent position based out of Norfolk, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
