Role Description

Sutherland Packaging is seeking a full-time CDL A Truck Driver for an on-site position based in Andover, NJ. The CDL A Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of products to customers, adhering to scheduled routes, and ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently. Additional responsibilities include vehicle inspection and maintenance, loading and unloading goods, and maintaining communication with the logistics team to report any issues or delays. The driver will comply with all DOT regulations and company policies to ensure safe and professional operations.


Qualifications

  • Possess a valid CDL Class A driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
  • Professional experience in long-haul or regional trucking and familiarity with DOT regulations
  • Must meet all current DOT and insurance requirements
  • Ability to operate, inspect, and maintain trucks and related equipment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills for timely deliveries
  • Two years of commercial driving experience.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery.
  • Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery and computers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Physical capacity for loading and unloading
  • Commitment to maintaining safety compliance and customer service excellence
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
