Job Summary and Qualifications


Cath Lab Technologists assist physicians with invasive cardiovascular procedures (angiograms, stent placements) by operating imaging equipment, monitoring patient vitals, and maintaining sterile environments. Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and prepping patients, requiring proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac procedures. 


Key Responsibilities: 


  • Procedure Assistance: Scrub and circulate during diagnostic/interventional cardiology, electrophysiology (EP), and vascular procedures. 


  • Equipment Operation:Operate radiographic and hemodynamic monitoring equipment to provide imaging and data. 


  • Patient Care:Prepare patients, explain procedures, monitor hemodynamics, and provide support in Code Blue situations. 


  • Safety & Compliance:Maintain sterile fields, adhere to radiation safety, and manage image archiving. 


  • Call Rotation:Participate in on-call rotations for emergency cases. 


Qualifications: 


  • Education:Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Paramedic program. 


  • License/Certifications: 




  • Experience: Previous cath lab experience (min 1 year) required
