Job Description

As a Cashier, you will primarily work in a retail environment handling cash and credit transactions. Your main function will be to accurately operate the cash register/POS system and complete transactions efficiently. You will also provide support to the retail operation, which includes setting up, maintaining supplies and products, and assisting in cleanup and closedown activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register/POS system accurately to process customer transactions.
• Handle cash and credit transactions with precision and care.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Support the retail operation by setting up and maintaining supplies and products.
• Assist in the cleanup and closedown processes as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a cashier, preferably in a convenience store or retail setting.
• Familiarity with retail sales and POS systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role is advantageous.

Work Environment

• Work in a fast‑paced retail environment requiring extended periods of standing
• Available shifts include Thursday–Monday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with one weekend day starting at 8:30 AM
• PM shift option: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM with flexible weekdays and one weekend day starting at 8:30 AM
• Must be able to stand for long durations and adapt quickly in a high‑energy setting

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Glendale, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.94 - $16.94/hr.
