The Case Specialist plays a critical role in supporting dispute resolution and arbitration operations by managing case workflows, reviewing legal documentation, and ensuring adherence to established procedures. This position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to effectively support case progression from initiation through resolution.
This is an administrative professional role suited for individuals who can operate independently on routine matters while exercising sound judgment and attention to detail on more complex issues under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities: - Review, analyze, and process legal documents including pleadings, motions, correspondence, and supporting case materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedural requirements
- Manage assigned caseloads, maintaining organized and up-to-date records within case management systems
- Monitor case timelines and deadlines, ensuring timely progression of cases and proactive follow-up on outstanding items
- Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders, parties, and legal counsel to facilitate communication and resolve procedural inquiries
- Conduct research and gather relevant information to support case handling and decision-making processes
- Identify and escalate complex issues or discrepancies, providing recommendations for resolution when appropriate
- Prepare and distribute case-related communications, notices, and documentation in accordance with established guidelines
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive legal information with discretion
- Continuously improve knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks to ensure high-quality case support
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field (e.g., legal studies, business administration, or paralegal studies)
- 2-5+ years of experience in legal support, case management, arbitration, or a related administrative environment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret and apply rules and procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management or document tracking systems
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience supporting arbitration, litigation, or regulatory processes
- Familiarity with legal terminology, pleadings, and court or dispute resolution procedures
- Prior experience in a highly regulated or compliance-driven environment
