Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Caregiver to provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, assisted living, or home & community care, with a strong focus on enhancing residents' quality of life through attentive and respectful assistance. This role involves working closely with individuals with disabilities, dementia, or other health needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.DutiesAssist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toiletingAdminister medications following prescribed protocols and document accurately using EMR systemsMonitor vital signs and report any changes to healthcare professionals promptlyProvide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairmentsSupport mobility through the use of Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices as neededPrepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferencesMaintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasksSupport residents' emotional and social needs through engaging activities and companionshipDocument care provided and communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity of careDrive residents to appointments or outings when required, adhering to safety protocolsRequirementsValid certification as a Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferredExperience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or personal care homesKnowledge of Alzheimers care, dementia management, and behavior management techniquesAbility to assist with ADLs and perform vital sign checks accuratelyFamiliarity with EMR systems for documentation purposesExperience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs is a plusStrong communication skills and compassionate natureAbility to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environmentsValid drivers license for driving residents when necessaryPhysical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents using Hoyer lifts or similar equipmentFlexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as neededThis position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while working within a supportive team environment.
