Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting-edge imaging technology to directly impact life-saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

  • Individual Performance
  • Meets annual competency requirement prior to evaluation date.
  • Applies clinical knowledge and expertise for coordinating patient care by assisting nursing staff to assess patient condition. Coordinates plan of care with other members of the cath team to achieve quality patient care.
  • Demonstrates accurate written and verbal documentation of patient status information. Demonstrates ability to utilize appropriate channels of communications and displays a team effort with colleagues, medical staff and administration.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and practice regarding cost effective methods of delivering patient care.
  • Demonstrates understanding and proficiency in identifying and monitoring electrocardiographic and hemodynamic data recognition.

Job Requirements
  • High School Graduate: GED
  • Satisfactory completion of formal cardiovascular technologist training that meets requirements for certification.
  • Two years experience in a catheterization lab preferred
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
  • Registered Technologist Radiography: ARRT
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
