Cardiac Device Specialist (Electrophysiology)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Device Specialist to support a high‑volume electrophysiology and cardiology practice. This is an office‑based role focused on hands‑on management of implantable cardiac electronic devices (CIEDs), including device interrogation, remote monitoring interpretation, and close collaboration with EP providers. No direct bedside patient care is involved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret remote CIED transmissions and alerts (200/week)
  • Analyze device diagnostics, arrhythmia events, pacing trends, and lead/battery status
  • Support in‑office device clinic workflows (up to 35 device patients per day)
  • Perform and assist with device interrogations (pacemakers and related devices)
  • Troubleshoot device and remote monitoring connectivity issues
  • Escalate clinically significant findings to EP providers and nursing staff
  • Provide device‑related follow‑up education to patients by phone as needed
  • Schedule device clinic visits and remote monitoring follow‑ups
  • Complete accurate EMR documentation, billing, and charging
  • Maintain organized and compliant device clinic records
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience in an EP or cardiac device clinic
  • Direct experience managing implantable cardiac devices (CIEDs)
  • Strong knowledge of electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm management
  • Experience with remote monitoring platforms and EMR systems
  • BLS and/or ACLS certification
  • IBHRE certification (CCDS or CCSDS) required

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
