Cardiac Catheterization Technician

Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for a "Cath Lab Tech" to provide support to healthcare systems in Newton, NJ. This is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great opportunity to work with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Cath Lab Tech (Travel Contract)

📍 Location: Somerville

💰 Pay Rate: $3,248/week

📅 Duration: 13 Weeks

⏰ Shift: Day | 4x10 Hours (06:30 AM – 05:00 PM)

🕒 Hours: 40 hours/week

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technician to join a dynamic cardiovascular team. This role involves assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures while ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures and interventional cases
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and support patient care during procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and equipment
• Operate advanced imaging and cath lab equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Accurately document procedures using EMR systems

Procedures & Equipment

• Cardiac catheterizations, PCI, angioplasty, stent placements
• Pacemaker (PPM) implants and electrophysiology procedures
• Peripheral and renal angiographies
• Equipment: Philips X-ray, Impella, Balloon Pump, Acist Injector

Requirements

✔ Minimum 1 year of clinical Cath Lab experience

✔ ARRT (R) certification or CCI RCIS

✔ BLS (AHA) certification

✔ Active New Jersey state license (or compact, if applicable)

✔ Experience with EPIC charting (preferred)

Call Requirements

• 9 call shifts/month
• Weekday call: Mon–Thu (5:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Weekend call: 1 weekend/month
• Fri: 5:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Sat/Sun: 6:00 AM – 6:00 AM

Additional Details

• Average 7 cases per day
• Patient population: Adults & Geriatrics (cardiovascular conditions)
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Must be flexible to float within skillset
• All RTO must be submitted and approved at time of application
• Must be available for 2 out of 3 major holidays
