Responsible for leading business analysis and providing subject matter expertise for technology initiatives. Partner with  business and technology teams to analyze, interpret, and document requirements for complex business problems and recommend comprehensive technology solutions. Use domain specific and technology application(s) knowledge to define and lead detailed analysis in response to business & technology requests to develop efficient and accurate functional requirements. Responsible for communication and information flow between business and technology teams. Lead project / systems documentation and proactively monitor & manage project schedules and deliverables. Partner with business users and drive development and provision of training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes. Lead system testing and project development lifecycle. Drives compliance through expertise of data accuracy, corporate policies and data security as related to the project. May interact with vendors, external industry participants, and regulatory agencies. May provide guidance and direction to teams, in addition to planning and delivering project initiatives.

It’s an exciting time to be a part of Wells Fargo’s Capital Markets Risk Technology team. This position will help shape and build out Wells Fargo’s cross asset strategic risk platform. As a technical business systems senior associate, you will be responsible for providing business analysis expertise in the group, partnering with business and technology teams to analyze, interpret, and document requirements for complex business problems. The position will report into the Technical Business Systems Sr. Manager within the Capital Markets Risk Technology division.

  • You will use financial products expertise and in depth capital markets domain knowledge to help develop solutions that are strategic, cost effective and meet business requirements.
  • You will apply knowledge of industry and technology changes to meet business partner tactical and strategic goals, work with business users to develop and provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes.
  • You will ensure effective system testing and project development lifecycle management within your area of responsibility.

There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis or design as demonstrated through work, military, or education
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 4+ years of capital markets experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of operation work flows/processes
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of governance and compliance expected from providing solutions in systems and technology domains
  • Knowledge and understanding of business systems analysis or design in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of capital markets: business and processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of capital markets: front office technology and systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology project management: in the banking/financial industry


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of financial instruments focused specifically on Interest Rate/Credit/Structured Credit products.
  • Knowledge of interest rate products domain
  • Experience in market and trades/positions data sourcing/analysis, pricing/risk/valuations (npvs, greeks, PnL, full revaluation, VaR, CCAR, scenario analysis).
  • Proficient in regular BA activities (FSD creation, Jira maintenance, QA/UAT test management, etc.)
  • Well versed with agile methodologies.
