This role offers flexible scheduling, typically 20–40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Incumbents are responsible for supervising children in activities that are part of an after-school or summer Recreation Division program.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Receives direction from higher-level recreation supervisory and management staff.
1. Provides close supervision of all children participating in structured recreation program to ensure their safety and compliance with policies.
2. Plans, organizes, and leads a variety of age-appropriate programs and activities.
3. Resolves differences that may arise during play and activities; reports incidents as required.
4. Communicates with supervisor and/or parents regularly to provide basic updates; answers general questions about recreation programs.
5. Maintains appropriate records associated with the program.
6. Reacts and responds to emergency situations as trained; calls emergency services or supervisor(s) for assistance as needed.
7. Provides general customer service and communicates with the public regarding fees, policies, rules, and general information about the facility or event.
8. Represents the City of Casper by responding to the public, citizens, its employees, and others in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner while continuously maintaining a positive customer service demeanor.
9. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• No previous training or experience required.
• Must be at least 15 years of age.
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• Possession of current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications. If no current certifications, completion of the City’s internal certification program for First Aid and CPR will be required within 1 month of hire.
