Cable Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking hardworking individuals with experience in structured cabling and data center environments. This role involves working both inside and outside buildings to support data center build-outs and infrastructure installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and layout wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and related devices
• Build and outfit telecommunications closets, including:
  • Mounting and installing backboards
  • Installing racks, patch panels, cross-connects, fiber optic hardware, and related equipment
• Perform Cat5/Cat6 copper and fiber optic terminations
• Complete all IDC connections, including terminating 110/66 blocks and patch panels
• Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling as required
• Pull wire and/or oversee and direct conduit installations and wire pulling activities
• Operate hand and power tools requiring two-handed operation (e.g., cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers)

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Network equipment installation experience
• Structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic)
• Cat6 termination and punchdown
• Rack and stack experience
• Cable installation and management
• Knowledge of fiber optic cabling and hardware

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Social Circle, GA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Social Circle,GA.
