Buyer

Apollo Technical
Spring, TX

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Buyer to support our client, a leading industrial manufacturing firm, at their facility.

Position Overview

In this role, you will act as a key driver for supply chain efficiency, taking full responsibility for the procurement of production materials, raw items, chemicals, subcontracted services, and capital equipment.

As a Buyer, your primary mission is to manage vendor partnerships and handle the daily technical transactions required to keep the production facility fully operational. This role is ideal for an organized professional who understands that effective purchasing relies on deep technical coordination, strict compliance, and rigorous inventory data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Order Placement: Execute purchase orders for raw materials, production chemicals, tools, capital equipment, and administrative supplies based on system requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Secure accurate material quotations and follow up continuously with suppliers to change, expedite, or reschedule orders while swiftly resolving invoice or delivery discrepancies.
  • Data & System Integrity: Oversee and maintain precise data entry within NetSuite, including logging material requirements, production variables, and monitoring vendor performance metrics.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor critical raw inventory components (such as glass, resin, and hardener), coordinate necessary system adjustments, and assist with physical counts and inventory reconciliations.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Enter Goods Receipts for incoming packing slips, input verified invoices tied to POs into the tracking system, and actively reconcile the purchase clearing account.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of direct purchasing or procurement experience within a corporate or industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Software Systems: Advanced proficiency with NetSuite (specifically the purchasing and receiving modules) alongside MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and write fluently in English or Spanish.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Our "Green Flag" candidate is a disciplined procurement professional who possesses strong organizational "grit" and thrives in a structured, data-driven environment. We need someone who can independently manage the administrative workflow of an industrial supply chain while tracking material data with extreme precision. A collaborative mindset and a strong baseline familiarity with manufacturing raw materials or chemicals are highly valued.

Additional Information

  • Status: Full-Time / Exempt.
  • Work Environment: Primarily a structured office environment nestled within a production facility (~90% sitting).
  • Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Purchasing Manager.
