Buyer, Women’s
We are seeking a Buyer, Women’s RTW for a freelance opportunity with a well-known fashion company. This role will support key categories across Swim, Intimates, and Denim, with a focus on building compelling assortments that align with brand vision, customer demand, and business goals.
The ideal candidate has strong buying experience within women’s apparel, a sharp eye for trend, and the ability to use business insights to drive category performance. Experience working across Swim, Intimates, and Denim is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage buying activities across Women’s RTW, supporting Swim, Intimates, and Denim categories
- Develop assortments that balance trend, customer demand, and financial objectives
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to inform buying decisions
- Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, planning, and related teams
- Identify opportunities in assortment architecture, pricing, and product mix
- Support market appointments, vendor partnerships, and product selection
Qualifications:
- Experience in buying, preferably within Women’s Ready-to-Wear
- Background in or exposure to Swim, Intimates, and Denim categories preferred
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent trend awareness and understanding of the contemporary customer
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Additional Details:
- Freelance assignment expected to last 6 months to start
- Hybrid schedule in Cerritos, CA with 3 days onsite
- Potential for extension or longer-term opportunity
