Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team and contribute to the seamless operation of our establishment. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services necessary for our operations. You will also manage the procurement of raw or semi-finished materials for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
  • Ensure the acquisition of high-quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
  • Monitor and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
  • Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
  • Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
  • Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
  • Write and review product specifications, maintaining a working technical knowledge of the goods or services to be purchased.
  • Formulate policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and services.
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine the need for changes.
Essential Skills
  • Buyer experience of 2+ years.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong supply chain management skills.
  • Experience in initiating purchase orders and work orders.
  • Effective communication skills with suppliers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of machining and buying machined parts.
  • Quotation experience related to machining operations.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Sound working knowledge of machining operations, machine tools and equipment, metals, castings.

Work Environment

The work environment is centered around machine building and manufacturing in a clean, temperature-controlled facility. The position involves first shift hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with no weekends or overtime required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Centennial, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $38.45/hr.
