Job Description

The Business Development Manager leads complex, high-value sales cycles end-to-end within engineering, quality consulting, and technical services. This role focuses on building strategic, trusted relationships with senior executives, shaping differentiated solutions, and driving meaningful revenue growth across mission-critical industries such as aerospace and defense, transportation, consumer and industrial manufacturing, and utilities and construction. You will own your book of business, collaborate closely with global delivery and practice leaders, and play a key role in bringing scalable quality solutions to demanding, high-stakes environments.

What You’ll Do (How You Win)

You’ll operate with autonomy, accountability, and executive-level visibility. Your mission is simple: build pipeline, close deals, and scale revenue.

· Hunt and close net-new enterprise business for quality consulting services within targeted accounts.

· Expand existing relationships by moving conversations up the value chain—from tactical quality support to enterprise-wide quality, reliability, and performance solutions.

· Sell and shape high-value engagements across:

o Quality Management System (QMS) design, deployment, and optimization

o Process and product quality improvement

o Performance optimization and reliability engineering

o Product quality lifecycle support

· Lead complex sales cycles end-to-end, including prospecting, executive discovery, solution shaping, pricing strategy, RFX responses, negotiations, and close.

· Build trusted relationships with VP- and C-suite buyers, positioning yourself as a strategic quality partner—not a vendor.

· Partner with global delivery teams and practice leaders to bring scalable, differentiated solutions to market.

· Own your book of business: pipeline management, forecasting, deal strategy, and revenue execution.

What You Bring

· 5+ years of business development experience in engineering services, quality consulting, or technical services.

· A documented track record of closing complex, high-dollar consulting engagements.

· Comfort selling to senior executives and navigating enterprise buying processes.

· A true hunter mindset—self-directed, competitive, and results-obsessed.

· Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate client pain into scalable solutions.

· Experience working cross-functionally with delivery, legal, finance, and leadership teams.

· CRM discipline (Salesforce preferred).

· Willingness to travel regionally (up to 50%).

This is a Permanent position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
