Inviting applications for the role of Business Analyst, P&C Insurance Domain

In this role, we are seeking a highly motivated individual who possesses analytical skills, with a strong understanding of the wholesale brokerage insurance industry. The role requires strong domain expertise in personal and/or commercial P&C lines, underwriting, policy administration, billing, and claims. The BA will work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to gather requirements, document processes, and ensure successful delivery of solutions.

We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Business Analyst/Lead within the P&C Insurance domain. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional with strong analytical and delivery management skills, and a deep understanding of the wholesale brokerage insurance ecosystem.

This role requires proven domain expertise across personal and/or commercial P&C insurance, including underwriting, policy administration, billing, and claims. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, product owners, and technology teams to drive requirements definition, solution design, and end‑to‑end delivery execution.

In addition to core Business Analyst responsibilities, this role will serve as a Lead, ensuring timely, high‑quality execution of initiatives using Agile methodologies.



Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories for P&C insurance products.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technology teams.
  • Perform current-state and future-state process mapping (AS-IS, TO-BE).
  • Conduct gap analysis across systems, workflows, and data.
  • Support initiatives related to underwriting, policy lifecycle, rating, quoting, binding, billing, and claims.
  • Collaborate with product and actuarial teams on rating rules, coverage forms, and business workflows.
  • Create high-quality documentation including BRDs, FSDs, UAT plans, process flows, and SOPs.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business units and IT.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios, validating functionality, and tracking defects.
  • Ensure solutions meet business requirements and deliver expected outcomes.
  • Own and manage end‑to‑end delivery of assigned initiatives, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Track delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and issues; provide clear status reporting and escalation as needed.
  • Proactively identify process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives across analysis and delivery practices.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Familiarity with a variety of both legacy and modern Policy Admin platforms (Insurity, Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or similar preferred). Hands-on experience with Insurity platforms is a plus.
  • MUST Have: P&C experience (preferable in Specialty Insurance) as Business Analyst, Lead Business Analyst (10+ years) or Product Owner.
  • Forms, rating, policy servicing, entire policy lifecycle experience, Configuration Experience – 8+ years.
  • Hands on SQL experience – 5+ years.
  • Solid experience working in Agile environment. Both Scrum and Kanban.
  • Hands on experience with Jira, Confluence, Service Now, ITIL tools and process framework.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently while effectively leading cross‑functional teams.
  • Nice to have Cloud experience, Azure Cloud, GCP.


Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Certification in Agile, Business Analysis, or Insurance.
  • Exposure to data analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Excel).
  • Experience working with integrations, APIs, and system modernization projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science or related field.
  • 10+ years of overall professional experience delivering complex insurance technology solutions.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
