Honda Finance is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team hybrid in Torrance, CA!

Must Haves:

  • 1 – 2 years of transferrable experience (non-IT business, project, etc. analysis work)
  • Intermediate level with MS Office programs
  • Experience in banking, finance or credit
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


Plus:

  • Experience coming from the financial services or automotive industry


Key duties:

This position will work alongside other business analysts, to support the finance division's initiatives by providing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical and logical way of thinking, be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users and be able to work effectively with internal and external business and technical teams. This team is looking for someone who is a team player that is eager to learn and grow within the company long term.


- Perform as primary or backup to monitor Originations chat and Mailbox, ensure reported incidents and issues are responded to, escalated, and resolved accurately and in a timely manner, according to SLA.

- Assist team members, document processes and procedures, propose enhancements, and increase efficiencies.

- Assist in Break-FIX and Vendor Portal tickets as assigned, ensure tickets are created, responded to, and resolved or escalated, according to SLA.

- Provide timely and accurate assistance to AHFC Centers and AHFC Corporate Departments as needed.

- Provide effective and timely analysis, and implement maintenance and enhancements as assigned.

- Develop skills to become an SME, train other team members to support and enhance Departmental processes.

- Working with cross-functional teams, perform business requirements analysis, define relevant areas of changes, translate and document the requirements into design specifications and functional requirements, and communicate the results.

- Manage assigned projects, develop, and review test plans and scripts, monitor deliverables, perform user acceptance testing.

- Conduct and actively participate in meetings with internal and external teams, gather information, produce effective reports, and presentations to share ideas and findings.

- Ensure that various appropriate elements, including documents, policy documents, guides, and business communications are kept up to date and are available.

- Support other projects and tasks accurately, and with a high degree of quality, as assigned.
