The Building Engineering Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all building engineering operations within mission‑critical environments. This role serves as the primary ABM site representative for daily facility operations, ensuring the continuous, safe, and reliable performance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems. The Building Engineering Supervisor provides leadership to engineering staff, critical facility technicians, and external service partners while supporting site leadership in achieving 100% operational availability. This position emphasizes operational excellence, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all facility systems and services.
Compensation: $98,000 - $140,000/YR Salary

- Supervise day-to-day operations of critical and non‑critical building infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical distribution, mechanical systems, fire protection, and life safety systems.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are executed with zero business interruption and minimal customer impact.
- Monitor system performance, power and cooling capacity, and environmental conditions to ensure operational stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure issues quickly and effectively.
- Provide direct supervisory oversight to Building Engineers, Critical Facility Technicians, Assistant Chief Engineers, and third‑party contractors.
- Manage employee schedules, timekeeping, and payroll processing.
- Enforce ABM training, certification, and safety standards while supporting staff development and performance improvement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.
- Lead emergency response efforts and escalate incidents appropriately to site and regional leadership.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce site‑level operating procedures, including SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and Change Management documentation.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, Change Control protocols, regulatory requirements, and client standards.
- Control access to mission‑critical spaces and maintain accurate access control lists.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs and guide corrective action strategies.
- Audit CMMS platforms to ensure data accuracy, reporting integrity, and user access management.
- Manage work orders, service requests, and maintenance records.
- Vet, approve, and oversee subcontractors and service providers.
- Develop, manage, and enforce preventive maintenance contract scopes of work.
- Track operational budgets, contract expenditures, and vendor performance to ensure fiscal responsibility and service quality.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all facility-related matters, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination.
- Respond to customer service requests professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Advise site leadership and clients on space utilization, power availability, and environmental controls, particularly within data center environments.
