CNC Brake Press Operator

1st shift | Monday - Friday | $18-$23/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a CNC Brake Press Operator to support metal fabrication operations. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC brake press equipment, producing high-quality parts, and maintaining strict quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC brake press machines for metal fabrication.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and part specifications.
  • Produce parts to specification with a zero-defect mindset.
  • Perform in-process quality checks using company-supplied measuring tools.
  • Accurately track production quantities, scrap, and defects.
  • Set up fabrication machinery and tooling as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 6+ months as a press brake operator in a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with brake press, machine operation, and CNC.
  • General production and press operation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC brake presses.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand part functionality.
  • Experience using measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Experience in low- to mid-volume metal fabrication is preferred.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing shop-floor environment with moderate noise levels where employees work with CNC brake press equipment and metal fabrication machinery. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and handling materials throughout the shift while following established safety and quality procedures. Employees are expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots and hearing protection, and to maintain an organized, safety-focused workspace. The work schedule is Monday - Thursday from 6am to 2:30pm, and Friday from 6am to Noon.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
