We are seeking a professional, personable, and detail-oriented Accounting Administrative Associate to support a world-class independent school. This role is the perfect "hybrid" position for someone with an administrative heart and a mathematical mind. You will act as the face of the business office while providing essential support to the internal finance team. Accounting & Bookkeeping
General Ledger Management: Accurately post entries to the GL and maintain the integrity of financial records.
Debits & Credits: Apply a strong working knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping to ensure all transactions are coded correctly.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Balance Sheets and other period-end reports.
Accounts Payable: Manage AP workflows, reconcile vendor statements, and process reimbursements.
Software: Utilize Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge for financial tracking and reporting (full training provided by the Business Office Manager).
Front-of-House & Administration:
Act as the primary point of contact for the Business Office, welcoming guests, vendors, and staff with a polished and positive demeanor.
Manage front desk flow and provide backup support for the mailroom (signing for and organizing high-value packages).
Ensure the office environment reflects the school’s high standards of professionalism.
Ideal candidate would have a background in accounting or have held an administrative role that included significant financial tasks (reconciliations, basic bookkeeping, or AP). Naturally welcoming, helpful, and possess a "concierge-level" approach to service. Proactive, organized with strong work ethic. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and some accounting system.
