Hoffman Construction is seeking a BIM Manager. This individual will be an integral member of the on-site BIM Department, providing essential support throughout the construction project. Reporting to the and receive directions from Hoffman's Program BIM Manager and various project-level management teams. The BIM Manager will work closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams to manage day-to-day site activities. They will work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Contractors to ensure our BIM workflows are being utilized effectively and efficiently throughout the project life cycle. This role will provide daily guidance and mentoring to project team members to optimize project-specific BIM standards. They will also work directly with Hoffman's IT and BIM Management teams regarding the BIM process, technology support, and training. This position will be fully at the project site near Boise, Idaho.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Lead, train, and supervise local BIM team in support of project delivery.
- Lead client-facing meetings regarding best BIM and VDC practices as a representative of Hoffman and the BIM department.
- Educate and assist the project team on software and workflows utilized throughout the construction process.
- Fluently read and understand contract documents such as drawings and model-based deliverables.
- Drive and manage implementation of BIM modeling and collaboration platforms such as Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, iConstruct, Dynamo, Sketchup, Newforma Konekt, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), etc., on large-scale construction projects.
- Work with corporate IT and BIM staff to support, maintain, and develop company-wide BIM standards and 3D modeling tools.
- Direct 4D model scheduling efforts using 3D models in conjunction with project schedules.
- Establish early standards for data exchange to optimize use of BIM for quantity take-off, estimating, etc., during all stages of the project.
- Establish and maintain a project-wide BIM strategy based on the BIM Execution Plan that is fully compliant with client requirements.
- Establish exchange and coordination of 3D models with all project stakeholders.
- Monitor clash detection process, clash reporting, responsible parties' workflows, and overall IFF (Issue-for-Fabrication) sign-off process to successful completion.
- Monitor and ensure record model archival throughout the project to completion.
- Possess a general understanding of Newforma Konekt to support effective collaboration, issue tracking, and project coordination across teams.
- Provide clear communication, verbally, in writing, and electronically.
Salary Range $98,800.00 - $130,000.00

Professional Experience and Education
- At least six to eight (6-8) years’ experience in architectural, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry required.
- Specific experience in advanced manufacturing projects is required.
- Experience in the delivery of large, complex projects is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related industry preferred.
Position Related Skills
- Experience working in and around data centers, semiconductors, and/or advanced manufacturing environments preferred.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM), AutoCAD, Revit.
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership.
- Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to work closely with a variety of trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential.
- Ability to communicate and present design and/or construction ideas to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations.
- Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress.
- Trained in design document reading and design specifications.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams) and have a general understanding of working within a computer network.
- Experience with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methods and digital fabrication preferred.
- Proficient in project management software such as Procore and Bluebeam.
- Experience administering and organizing Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and other common data environments.
- Need to have problem-solving skills and be a critical thinker.
- Advanced knowledge of Autodesk’s Navisworks Manage, including Clash Detection, Quantification, and Timeliner tools.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to successfully host, run, and document BIM coordination meetings.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is a combination of being stationary and moving about the work location.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ascend and descend ladders, and inspect confined or underground spaces.
- Hands/Arms: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Sight: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus in an outdoor environment. Must be able to safely operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license. The work is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and reading print and digital documents.
- Hearing: Must be able to work in proximity to loud equipment more than 75% of the time. Must be able to wear hearing protection, as necessary. Often required to communicate with customers and co-workers in an office setting and on the job site.
- Speech: Ability to communicate laws, ordinances, plans, regulations, protocols, directives, and standard operating procedures related to project scope in English.
- Lift/Carry: Must have the ability to lift or manipulate fifty pounds to a height of three feet and carry or push it 50-100 feet.
- Bending/Twisting: Frequent.
- Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Must be able to regularly position oneself in a kneeling, crouching, or crawling position for the purpose of examining project work.
- Must be able to physically access all areas and levels of the construction site for work progress review.
- Work schedule must be flexible to allow for extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences.
- Must use independent judgment, organizational, and critical thinking skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results.
