BIM/VDC Manager

We are seeking an experienced BIM/VDC Manager to lead the design and construction digitalization of large-scale process plant projects in the water/wastewater sector. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on BIM leadership for process plant design and construction, with a strong focus on MEICA (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation) installations. This role requires full-time on-site presence during installation and close collaboration with engineering leads, project teams, and subcontractors to ensure design integrity and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, configuration, and ongoing management of BIM360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for process plant projects.
  • Implement and manage BIM workflows across construction, with emphasis on mechanical systems and plant equipment.
  • Manage final as-built modeling processes and ensure alignment with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Lead design-related inquiries from customers and subcontractors; track, document, and drive timely resolutions.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads and site teams (on-site and remote) to gather information and provide solutions.
  • Oversee BIM schedule, deliverables, and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specs.
  • Provide in-house BIM training for engineers, designers, and modelers, fostering best practices for process-plant projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (project management, design, engineering, BIM) across regions to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Maintain data integrity and model management, with a focus on Revit; familiarity with Bentley tools and BIM data standards (IFC, COBie) is a plus.
  • Drive continuous improvement of BIM processes and standards, and mentor a global team of BIM professionals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of BIM management experience in process plants (mechanical systems/equipment).
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit; strong understanding of BIM best practices for process plants.
  • Experience with BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for project data management.
  • Design management experience during construction with the ability to make critical design decisions.
  • Leadership and mentoring ability for BIM teams; ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Deep knowledge of process plant design and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards for water quality and environmental impact.
  • Excellent English communication and writing skills; strong cross-functional coordination.
  • Problem-solving mindset with proactive issue anticipation.

If you’re a proactive BIM leader with a passion for delivering high-quality process-plant projects and driving digital construction workflows, we want to hear from you.
