Job Description

We are seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant who will play a crucial role in our healthcare team. You will document physician visits in the EMR system, perform work-ups after doctor visits with patients, and communicate with patients based on the documented plan provided by the doctor.

Responsibilities

• Document physician visits in the EMR system.
• Scribe for multiple physicians.
• Perform work-ups after doctor visits with patients.
• Communicate with patients based on the documented plan provided by the doctor.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in medical assisting and medical terminology.
• Experience in patient care and EMR systems.
• Knowledge of ophthalmology and medical documentation.
• Strong data entry and typing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of healthcare experience, ideally in a clinical setting.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a life science is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish Must Have
• Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of patient care.

Work Environment

This is a high-volume clinic specializing in ophthalmology. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on clinic needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sugar Land, TX.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
