1. Position Summary

The Sales Representative, North America, is responsible for developing new customers and managing existing accounts in the North American market, primarily for assigned technology products and solutions.

This role is designed as an Individual Contributor, requiring a high degree of autonomy and the ability to independently drive sales activities while collaborating closely with global stakeholders. Depending on business needs, multiple hires may be considered, with each role focusing on a specific product domain.

2. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in North America, particularly within technology, manufacturing, industrial, or related markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing ongoing commercial and technical support
  • Present and explain assigned products and solutions to prospective and existing customers
  • Collect customer requirements and market feedback and communicate them effectively to global stakeholders
  • Prepare quotations, conduct price negotiations, and support contract-related processes
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis as needed

3. Required Qualifications

  • Business-level proficiency in English (Japanese proficiency is a plus)
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably in manufacturing, electronic components, industrial technology, or related industries
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage sales activities
  • Valid driver's license for customer visits

4. Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of or experience with advanced materials, photonics, sensing technologies, or related technical products
  • Experience presenting products at exhibitions or technical trade shows
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce

5. Location

  • Company office in Southern California
  • Hybrid work and full remote arrangements are available, depending on business needs
  • Employees working fully remotely may be requested to report to the office several times per year for meetings or other business purposes
  • Business travel required for customer visits and exhibitions
  • Candidates residing in California are preferred for operational efficiency related to tax, insurance, and compliance matters

6. Reporting Line

  • Reports directly to regional leadership
  • Works closely with business units and management at the global headquarters
