Focuses on performing network analysis for specialty providers and gathering relevant data for benefit and network committee reviews. Focuses on coordinating with providers and assisting with benefit network appeals. Possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of benefits and provider networks. Executes tasks with some direction provided. Completes analysis of data and program outcomes as assigned.

     1.   Benefits Program Maintenance and Daily Operations

  • Writes, maintains and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing analysis. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Ensures that employees who should be eligible for coverage are actually made eligible in a timely and compliant fashion. Ensures that employees who are no longer eligible for coverage are actually made ineligible in a timely and compliant fashion.
  • Develops employee communication and enrollment plan to ensure compliance with the various notifications and reporting requirements.
  • Accesses and uses data needed to track and reconcile with the government for those employees who choose to utilize a Public Exchange
  • Assists in the development of self-service tools for benefits and implementation of company-wide benefit enrollment process, including training/educating askHR Performance Team on changes.
  • Integrates automated time and labor management tools, payroll services, and benefits administration to manage assigned hours in an effort to assist HR leaders with identifying workforce management opportunities and reduce exposure to additional healthcare costs and/or federal penalties.
  • Develops special reports as needed to meet management requests and actively participates in reporting efforts related to benefit programs.

      2.   Partnering & Relationships

  • Acts as a liaison with other HR functions and internal/external customers answering complex questions and providing training as needed on employee benefit matters. Maintains open communication with other HR functions.
  • Supports benefits training and education by conducting presentations as needed
  • Demonstrates and encourages positive communication and interpersonal relationships in association with Shared Services staff, affiliate HR departments, employees, vendors and the general public, promoting a positive and proactive image of the department.

      3.   Performance Improvement and Quality

  • Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Monitors ERP self-service tools and supports HRIS improvement initiatives
  • Participates in annual review of all applicable benefit policies to ensure accuracy and alignment with overall benefits and total rewards strategy
  • Monitors applicable regulations and maintains records to ensure legal compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Works with vendors to identify issues and develops solutions to complex problems
