Schedule: PRN days | typically between 7:30am and 5:00pm | must be able to work at least one shift per pay period

How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Deliver evidence-based individual and group counseling to empower patients in achieving optimal mental health outcomes and personal growth.
  • Assess patient needs and establish personalized, measurable treatment goals to guide the therapeutic journey toward sustained recovery.
  • Collaborate actively with the patient, family, medical team, and community providers to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care from the initial assessment through discharge.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions regularly, adjusting treatment plans collaboratively with the patient to drive positive and sustained progress.
  • Document patient care journeys with thorough, confidential, and high-quality records to ensure continuity of care and accurate treatment tracking.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:
    • Licensed Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Counselor credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Social Worker credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Supervisor credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

What additional requirements you'll need

  • Experience with crisis, crisis stabilization, mental health treatment, and case management preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working on all units (adolescent and adult inpatient as well as PHP).
  • Must be available for training which will take 3-4 weeks, 40 hours per week.
  • Must have flexibility to cover PTO (both planned and unplanned-sick days).
