What You’ll Do:
The Banquets Bartender plays a pivotal role in enhancing the guest experience during banquet events at our establishment. This position involves the skilled preparation and service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining a well-stocked bar, and ensuring the responsible and efficient service of drinks to guests.
The primary responsibility will be beverage preparation, bar setup and maintenance, guest service, inventory management, customer engagement, cleanliness, and cash handling.
A Banquets Bartender contributes significantly to the overall guest satisfaction and success of banquet events by providing exceptional beverage service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role demands proficiency in mixology, excellent customer service skills, and strict adherence to safety and legal standards.
The hourly rate for this position is $11.10/hr. This position is eligible to earn overtime, shift differentials and premium pay under certain circumstances, tips, commissions, service charges, or incentive awards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Mix, garnish, and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and specialty drinks in accordance with established recipes.
· Set up the bar area for banquet events, including stocking liquor, glassware, utensils, and garnishes.
· Regularly check and maintain bar equipment, such as blenders, shakers, and refrigeration.
· Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale and service of alcohol.
· Follow proper sanitation and ensure the bar is always free from safety hazards.
· Process guest payments accurately, handle cash and credit card transactions, and provide change as necessary.
· Serve guests promptly and responsibly, ensuring compliance with legal drinking age service guidelines.
The colleague is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
· Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
· Project and time management skills are essential.
· Banquet Bartending experience desired.
· Knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
· Understanding of responsible alcohol service and compliance with local laws
· Previous experience as a bartender in a hotel or upscale dining setting is required.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
· Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink prices
· Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
· Must be 21 years of age.
· TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol Certification is a plus
· Must be able to lift 20 pounds or more.
