Banking/Relationship Associate
Salary: $55-65k per hour plus overtime
Location: Prairie Village, KS
Schedule: M-F 8:30am to 5:30pm
The Banking/Relationship Associate is responsible for supporting daily Bank operations by providing dependable client-focused services across multiple functions. This role primarily focused on providing exceptional customer service while building and maintaining customer relationships to increase product adoption and retention, coming sales, service and administrative duties. Will act as a liaison between clients and the bank, resolving issues, processing transactions, opening accounts, and providing financial product recommendations.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Achieve Results
Client Relationship Management & Sales
- Assist customers in addressing inquiries and resolving account issues efficiently
- Conduct financial needs assessment to recommend and cross-sell appropriate bank products and services, such as checking, savings, loans, and debit cards.
- Open new accounts and complete all related documentation accurately and in compliance with regulations.
- Proactively follow up with new and existing customers via phone and email to build and maintain long-term meaningful relationships.
Teller Operations & Cash Handling
- Process a variety of routine and complex customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments.
- Maintain and balance an assigned cash drawer daily with a high degree of accuracy, adhering to established cash limits and security procedures.
- Assist with other branch operational duties such as vault balancing and preparing cash orders when needed.
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure all activities comply with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and customer identification programs
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records of all client communications and transactions
- Support branch security by verifying customer identification, monitoring for potential fraud, and following opening/closing procedures
Operational Excellence
- Utilize the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timely) methodology for all assigned projects to ensure accurate results.
- Respect and ensure the confidentiality of information shared by associates at all times.
- Perform daily administrative and operational duties accurately, efficiently, and professionally to support bank operations.
- Follow established policies and procedures, escalating issues to management when appropriate.
- Complete assigned tasks and projects within established timelines while supporting the organization’s service standards and goals.

REQUIREMENTS
Professional
- Demonstrated experience successfully completing assigned projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge and success at the development and communication of professional correspondence.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with office automation equipment, including phones, computers and related software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated success in a multi-task environment with diligence and follow-through.

- Previous banking experience preferred.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
- Banking Experience Required.
