Must-Haves

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of avionics maintenance experience (or equivalent education/experience)
  • Own avionics tools in good working order
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals
  • Hands-on experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics components
  • Advanced skills in:
  • Avionics installation tooling
  • Wiring, wiring repair, and routing per drawings
  • Soldering and crimping techniques
  • Working knowledge of FAA and FCC regulations
  • Ability to work in safety-sensitive environments and comply with all safety regulations


Plusses

  • FCC GROL certification
  • Experience with:
  • Spectrometers
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Pitot static equipment
  • Background in Aerospace & Defense, DoD, or U.S. Military environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance


Day-to-Day

  • Perform avionics maintenance in compliance with FAA, FCC, and company policies
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components
  • Route and install wiring according to technical drawings and specifications
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment, tools, and technical manuals
  • Inspect aircraft systems, structures, and equipment for airworthiness and safety
  • Work in environments with exposure to weather elements, loud noise, and hazardous materials
  • Support aviation operations requiring strict attention to safety and quality standards


Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Avionics Technician III for a top Aerospace & Defense client in Colorado Springs, CO. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting advanced avionics systems used in aviation operations. The technician will be responsible for hands-on installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics components while ensuring compliance with FAA, FCC, and internal safety standards. This role is ideal for a seasoned avionics professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment and takes pride in precision, safety, and technical excellence.


This position pays $25-$30/hr depending on level of experience
