Automotive Technician

We are seeking a Vehicle Upfitter/Installer to join our Phoenix team. In this role, you will transform everyday vehicles into specialized machines, such as emergency response units and rugged utility trucks, by installing and wiring essential equipment. Responsibilities

• Install and wire aftermarket vehicle equipment including lights, sirens, radios, GPS, and specialty accessories.
• Customize vehicle interiors and exteriors to meet precise client specifications.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all electrical work meets safety, quality, and performance standards.
• Test, troubleshoot, and verify system functionality.
• Diagnose and repair upfitted systems as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, teammates, and clients.
• Accurately document installations and completed work.

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Solid understanding of 12V systems including soldering, crimping, and grounding.
• Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Sharp attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical work such as standing, kneeling, and bending.

• Experience with emergency vehicle upfitting such as police, fire, and EMS vehicles.
• Certifications like ASE, EVT, or MECP.
• Welding or fabrication experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Phoenix,AZ.
