Role Overview
We are seeking an Automotive Systems Feature Engineer responsible for delivering Feature Assurance Engineering (FAE) deliverables, ensuring alignment with program milestones, and validating feature functionality across multiple vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities
Feature Alignment & Signoff
- Collaborate with Feature System Engineers (FSE) to ensure alignment and feature signoff
- Lead milestone-based feature validation and approval activities
Feature Validation Planning
- Develop and execute validation plans covering:
- Functional & performance testing
- Functional Safety V&V
- Cybersecurity and regulatory compliance
- Define test strategies including Breadboard, HiL, and vehicle-level validation
- Identify required hardware/software configurations for testing
Execution & Issue Resolution
- Coordinate validation execution across teams
- Lead defect triage and issue resolution throughout the development lifecycle
- Analyze test results and ensure requirement compliance
- Document and track defects in Jira with appropriate prioritization
Program & Milestone Support
- Support VSCS milestone signoffs
- Lead Deliverable Recovery Plans (DRP) for non-conformance issues
- Drive resolution of customer-facing (Voice of Customer/AIM) issues
Jira & Documentation Management
- Create and maintain Jira tickets and dashboards
- Ensure traceability with engineering artifacts (CAN logs, traces, videos, etc.)
- Provide clear reporting and communication to stakeholders
Testing & Process Improvement
- Improve validation processes and testing robustness
- Develop negative and edge-case test scenarios
- Support triage of in-field quality issues
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BS)
- Experience in Automotive Systems Validation or Feature Validation
- Strong background in Telematics, Infotainment, or Connected Vehicle systems
- Experience with WiFi, Bluetooth/BLE connectivity
- Hands-on experience in Validation, Testing, or Verification (V&V)
- Proficiency in Python for test automation or data analysis

- Experience with CAN, CANoe, or vehicle network analysis tools
- Familiarity with HiL testing environments
- Experience working with Jira and Agile development processes
