Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Bright Minds is seeking an AVIT Technician III to support advanced audio visual and integrated technology projects in the Newport, KY area. This role is focused on high-level field installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of commercial AV systems, with a strong emphasis on Crestron technologies. You’ll work directly with enterprise clients to deliver clean, reliable installations while supporting complex system integrations across AV, networking, and control systems.

As an AVIT Technician III, you’ll be responsible for executing field installations, system commissioning, and service work across a variety of commercial environments. You will handle troubleshooting and diagnostics, support system programming and integration efforts, and ensure all installations meet project specifications and client expectations. This role also involves working closely with engineers, programmers, and support teams to bring systems online, as well as assisting with rack builds, equipment staging, and final system testing.

You will regularly interact with customers on-site, so strong communication skills and professionalism are key. This role requires someone who can operate independently, take ownership of projects in the field, and represent the company well in front of corporate clients.

Requirements for the AV Technician III:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with commercial AV system installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Strong experience with Crestron systems, including DM NVX, Crestron Flex, and control systems
• Experience with additional AV platforms such as Q-Sys, Extron, AMX, or similar technologies
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, system schematics, and technical drawings
• Experience with rack builds, cable pulling, termination, and system integration
• Basic networking knowledge including IP configuration and AV-over-IP systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients in professional environments
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
