The Department of the Prosecuting Attorney (PAT), Administration Division, is seeking anAudio-Visual Production Specialist Ito plan and provide audio-visual/media services for the department.

What You Will Do
  • Plan, develop and carry out video tape, graphics and other types of audio-visual presentations for training, trial, community relations and other purposes; establish and assign priorities for completion of media projects.
  • Write, direct and produce scripts for audio-visual presentations; develop and implement creative production ideas; evaluate and edit available materials for inclusion into various audio-visual presentations.
  • Photograph, record, edit, and produce documentation of department business and events through film in video, camera and other formats.
  • Execute rough and finished graphics and graphic designs such as posters, transparencies, slides, flipcharts, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in speech communications, educational communications or a related field.

Substitution: Work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor's degree.

For example:1. Four (4) years of professional work experience, in any occupation, may substitute for a general bachelor's degree.2. Four (4) years of general work experience (does not need to be professional level experience) in audio-visual production or related media services may substitute for a general bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Two years of experience in audio-visual production and utilization.

Applicable Skills Needed
  • Knowledge of: principles, practices and techniques of communications; theories, techniques and utilization of audio-visual production including television and sound reinforcement systems; audio-visual equipment including audio-tape and closed circuit television and other types of audio-visual equipment; methods used in the operation and adjustment of audio-visual equipment; principles and techniques of graphic design.
  • Ability to: develop, plan and carry out the production of audio-visual presentations; determine the most effective method of presenting information to viewers; write, direct and produce scripts for audio-visual presentations; and instruct others in the use of audio-visual equipment.

LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a valid driver's license (Type 3/automobile).
