Butler Weihmuller Katz Craig LLP – a nationally recognized, AV-rated civil litigation firm – is seeking a talented defense attorney to join our Philadelphia office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex and sophisticated matters involving General Liability Defense and Insurance Coverage Litigation.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong writing and analytical skills and must have the following experience:

• 4-7 years of defense experience handling personal injury and liability claims
• Day-to-day handling of litigation matters from opening to closure
• Defending/taking depositions of experts, fact witnesses, and parties
• Attending court hearings, mediations, and participating in trial preparation
• First-party property and insurance coverage experience a plus.

Qualifications:

• Excellent academic credentials required
• Experience with drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Familiarity with billing practices and reporting guidelines
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars, and New York Bar license a plus.
