Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4+ years of experience to join its growing Insurance Defense practice. This role focuses on premises liability and trucking/transportation matters, offering the opportunity to handle complex cases and work directly with clients in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Handle all aspects of insurance defense matters, including premises liability and trucking cases
- Take and defend depositions, including parties, witnesses, and experts
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery; respond to written discovery
- Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Communicate directly with clients, carriers, and adjusters; provide strategic updates
- Develop case strategy and assist with trial preparation
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense
- Experience with premises liability and trucking/transportation matters strongly preferred
- Strong deposition and motion practice experience
- Ability to independently manage cases from start to finish
- Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills
- Licensed and in good standing with the applicable State Bar
