About the Procurement Law Group

The Procurement Law Group provides legal advice and representation on matters involving:

  • Federal supply and service contracts
  • Sharing agreements
  • Bid protest litigation
  • Information technology acquisitions
  • Debarment and suspension proceedings

Attorneys handle a wide range of pre- and post-award contract actions, complex disputes, and high‑visibility litigation that ensures the VA can effectively acquire the goods, services, technology, and innovations necessary to support Veterans nationwide.


Position Overview

This role focuses exclusively on Procurement Law, offering the opportunity to work on challenging legal issues at the intersection of federal acquisition, intellectual property, and government operations. The ideal candidate will bring experience that enhances the team’s ability to navigate an evolving and highly technical procurement landscape.


Desired Experience

We are seeking candidates with experience in:

  • Patent and Intellectual Property Law, particularly in licensing, software, and technology matters
  • Federal Procurement Regulations (FAR/VAAR)
  • Federal Contracting Law and government acquisition processes
  • Bid protest matters before the Government Accountability Office and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims
  • Civil or criminal litigation, including recent experience drafting briefs, motions, and handling discovery
  • Administrative and judicial representation involving federal agencies, Boards of Contract Appeals, or federal courts
  • Intellectual Property and software licensing in a government or commercial setting

Minimum Requirements
