Job Description:

Enertis is seeking an Associate Project Engineer based in Raleigh, NC to join our fast growing and diverse engineering consultancy team. The position will report to a Manager. This position is client facing and will require some level of travel. This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow as a renewable energy professional. The position’s principal duties and responsibilities include:

▪ Provide technical and administrative support

▪ Undergo “on-the-job” training

▪ Manage all types of projects

▪ Perform energy yield assessments, and opine on renewable energy project level documentation such as permitting, contracts and commissioning

▪ Control productivity of projects: time/product ratio

▪ Control productivity of team members

▪ Manage deadlines and expectations

▪ Control and assure quality of work

▪ Assist the team assigned to the project

▪ Assist the project manager with communications with the client

▪ Assist the team with discussions between the different project participants

▪ Taking full responsibility of the tasks assigned with autonomy


Requirements:

▪ Strong analytical and technical as well as problem-solving skills

▪ Demonstrated ability to perform under high pressure and dynamic work environment managing multiple project deliverables

▪ Ability to work effectively as a member of a larger multidisciplinary team and to manage multiple concurrent projects

▪ Strong verbal and written communication skills and planning, prioritizing and organizing abilities

▪ Proficiency with Microsoft Applications including Word and Excel

▪ Proficiency with Windows 11 Operating System

▪ A strong personal commitment to continuous improvement

▪ Ability to travel approximately 10-20% of the time


Qualifications:

▪ Engineering degree (BS) is required. Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering is preferred.

▪ Masters, MBA, NABCEP, LEED and/or Professional Engineer License are a plus

▪ 0 to 1 year of experience in C&I and/or utility-scale solar projects consulting, engineering, construction and/or development.

▪ Spanish speaking and writing are a plus

▪ Proficiency with Python 3, Excel formulas, and Excel VBA are a plus

▪ Experience with solar modeling software such as PVSyst is a plus
