About Passive

You don't want just any job. You want the right company, the right culture, the right move.

Passive is an AI-powered career discovery platform that shows you what's actually out there — real company insights, real roles, zero recruiter spam — so you can choose where you want to go instead of waiting to be chosen. Check us out: thepassive.app

We're dismantling a $35B recruiting industry that was built for employers, not professionals. And we're looking for someone who wants to help build what comes next.

The Role

This is an APM role with real surface area.

You won't be sitting in sprint ceremonies taking notes. You'll be working directly with our CTO and product team on a platform that's actively changing how people navigate their careers — with ownership over features that real users interact with every day.

If you want to understand how product decisions get made at an early-stage startup — the tradeoffs, the constraints, the prioritization calls — this is where you learn it without the corporate filter.

What You'll Do

  • Work with engineering and design to define, ship, and iterate on product features
  • Talk to users, synthesize feedback, and translate it into clear product requirements
  • Help prioritize the roadmap by understanding what actually moves the metrics that matter
  • Write specs, map flows, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks between teams
  • Dig into product analytics to understand how users are behaving and where the friction is

What We're Looking For

  • 0–2 years of experience — or a strong track record of building, shipping, or leading something
  • Clear, structured thinker who can translate ambiguity into actionable direction
  • Comfortable sitting between technical and non-technical conversations
  • Obsessed with user experience and why people do or don't do things
  • High ownership, low ego — you care about the outcome more than the credit

Bonus if you:

  • Have shipped a personal project, app, or product — even something small
  • Have experience with product tools like Figma, Notion, Linear, or similar
  • Are genuinely interested in AI, career tech, or marketplace dynamics

Why Passive

  • You'll work on a product you'd actually use — and one that's solving a problem you've probably already felt
  • Direct access to experienced product and engineering leadership with no layers
  • Real ownership over features, not just tickets
  • The kind of early-stage exposure that builds judgment most PMs don't develop until year four or five
  • Remote and async-friendly
