Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Portfolio Manager to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build a career in investment management and financial planning in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
The Associate Portfolio Manager will work directly with senior portfolio managers and firm leadership to assist in managing client portfolios, support client meetings, and contribute to ongoing advisory and operational projects. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to make a meaningful impact within a firm dedicated to delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior portfolio managers in servicing client relationships.
- Participate in client and prospect meetings, take notes, prepare follow-up materials, and assist with implementation.
- Monitor client portfolios to ensure alignment with objectives, allocation targets, and investment policy guidelines.
- Conduct market and security research to support investment discussions and recommendations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients via phone, email, video conference, and in-person meetings.
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives that enhance processes, reporting, and client experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience in the financial services industry preferred. Candidates with less experience will be considered based on education, internships, or other relevant experience.
- Series 65 license, or CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation preferred. Candidates without one of these credentials must obtain the Series 65 within three months of employment and complete exams for either the CFP® or ChFC® designation within three years.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new software and tools.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and commitment to client service.
