As we expand, we are building a sophisticated in-house legal function that operates at the intersection of litigation, compliance, and business strategy.


About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work directly with General Counsel in a hybrid role combining commercial litigation and in-house advisory work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable both managing litigation matters and advising business teams on legal risk, contracts, and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support commercial litigation matters, including coordination with outside counsel.
  • Handle pre-litigation disputes, demand responses, and settlement strategy.
  • Draft and review contracts, including vendor agreements, settlement agreements, and commercial contracts.
  • Advise internal teams (Marketing, Operations, HR, Sales) on legal risk and compliance.
  • Assist with employment-related matters, disputes, and internal investigations.
  • Review marketing materials, policies, and communications for regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare practical, business-oriented guidance.
  • Participate in building scalable legal processes and infrastructure.


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; active Florida Bar membership required.
  • 3–7 years of experience, with meaningful exposure to:
  • Commercial litigation
  • Contract disputes
  • Employment-related matters (preferred)
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate both independently and in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Business-minded approach with strong judgment and problem-solving ability.


Preferred

  • Prior in-house or business-facing experience.
  • Experience in financial services, debt restructuring, or highly regulated industries.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $120,000 – $150,000
