Desmond, Rand & Guerard, P.A. is seeking a motivated, resourceful, and entrepreneurial Associate Attorney to join our transactional practice. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly and closely with the firm’s president and his clients on a wide range of corporate and real estate matters, with meaningful responsibility and client exposure from day one.
Position Overview:
This is an in office position based in either our Westbrook or Wells office. The Associate will work side by side with the firm’s president, gaining hands on experience in active client matters and participating directly in strategy, drafting, and execution. This is not a back office role. The Associate will be integrated into client relationships early and expected to develop practical judgment and confidence quickly.
The ideal candidate will have one to two years of experience; however, we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and a strong desire to grow within the firm.
We are looking for someone who brings an entrepreneurial mindset, is creative and aggressive in problem solving, and is comfortable working across multiple practice areas to meet client needs.
Practice Areas Include:
This role will also provide cross exposure to trusts and estates matters, as well as select litigation support, offering a well rounded experience and deeper understanding of how transactional work intersects with disputes and long term planning.
