What You’ll Do
- Manage a personal injury caseload, starting in pre-litigation with a defined path toward litigation responsibilities
- Represent clients in negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable outcomes
- Attend hearings, depositions, and other litigation proceedings as your experience develops
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and courts
- Assist in preparing cases for trial, hearings, mediations, and depositions
- Conduct legal research to support case strategy and development
- Participate in client consultations and help guide clients through the legal process
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases forward efficiently
Who You Are
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar
- 0–4 years of legal experience (personal injury or civil litigation is a plus, not required)
- Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Motivated to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
