ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client is one of Bergen County's most respected boutique criminal defense firms, and we're looking for a newly admitted attorney, ideally coming straight out of a judicial clerkship who is ready to step into a courtroom and do real work on day one.

This is a rare opportunity to train directly under one of New Jersey's most prominent criminal defense attorneys, handling everything from municipal court appearances to Superior Court litigation.

What You'll Do

You'll own your cases. From the first client consultation through resolution, you'll manage a caseload with genuine autonomy while being mentored by some of the best in the business.

• Conduct client consultations and maintain direct, ongoing client relationships
• Appear regularly in Municipal and Superior Court across Bergen County
• Manage criminal cases from inception through resolution
• Represent clients at hearings, conferences, and trials
• Draft and argue motions, briefs, and related filings
• Review discovery and develop case strategy

Who You Are

• Admitted and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar — this is non-negotiable
• NY Admission is a plus
• A recent judicial clerk (NJ Superior Court experience especially valued)
• A strong writer who can think on their feet and argue with confidence
• Someone who wants to be in court — not behind a desk
• Spanish proficiency is a meaningful plus in this community
