The Training Fund of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 94-94A-94B, AFL-CIO (“Training Fund” or “Fund”), located in New York City, seeks an Assistant Training Director. Founded in 1986, the Training Fund offers job training programs to members of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union 94, 94A, 94B (“Local 94” or “Union”). Local 94 represents building engineers and stationary engineers in the New York metropolitan area, who operate and maintain mechanical systems, such as HVAC and plumbing, in large commercial, residential, and institutional buildings.
The programs provided by the Training Fund equip members with the tools and knowledge required to meet the evolving needs of the New York City real estate industry, with an emphasis on technical, mechanical, and electrical competencies - including indoor air quality, environmental controls, electrical systems, and computer-controlled building operations. Reporting to the Training Director, the Assistant Training Director will support the day-to-day administration of the training program and partner with instructional staff to ensure timely, high-quality training aligned with advancements in building operations and maintenance. Primary responsibilities entail supporting curriculum development, conducting program evaluations, and contributing to strategic planning initiatives aimed at future growth. The Assistant Training Director also collaborates with administrative staff to manage course scheduling and supports the supervision of instructors and program staff.
This position requires a full-time in-office presence. A remote arrangement is not available.
