Your Future Role:

This role assists the store manager in the overall operations of the Garden Center with focus customer service, sales and operations. This position is accountable for the customer shopping experience, promotional sales, signage, staffing, eCommerce order fulfillment, merchandising/stocking (w/Visual Merchandiser), receiving/operations, general maintenance, training and continue to improve upon a solutions-based culture of sales plus regular manager on duty responsibilities. This position executes and enforces policies that ensure the store is properly staffed, trained, and ready to serve our customers. Provides recommendations on changes that improve training, customer service and efficiency. Ultimately this position helps ensure all operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Your Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Upholds Moana Nursery's strict safety policies
• Shows up on time ready work
• Greets customers with a warm smile
• Promptly responds to customer needs, requests for service or assistance
• Communicates using radios to other Moana teammates
• Ensures inventory is accurate
• Conducts cycle count inventories
• Receives products and restocks the stores
• Assists with floral/rock operations -pending store
• Develops staffing schedules based historical sales and current trends
• Helps customers navigate through the store and to the correct resource
• Ensures promotions are understood and executed by retail team
• Ensures signage is published per Moana Nursery standards
• Participates in cleaning and organizing throughout the store
• Ensures all plants are healthy and well maintained while awaiting a new home
• Assists with floral/rock operations -pending store
• Helps plan and executes seasonal shifts
• Helps train the retail team
• Coordinates
• Learns as much as they can
• Answers questions concerning price, sales, services and programs
• Provides outstanding customer service
• Analyzes performance - actual results comparisons and lessons learned
• Identifies issues and opportunities that require Moana Nursery to change

Physical Requirements & Activity:

• Applicant must be able to lift 25 lbs
• Applicant must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Applicant must be able to work outdoors for an extended period of time.

Expertise & Experience Requirements:

• High School or equivalent degree
• Supervising Experience (minimum 1 year)
• Customer Service Role

Nice To Have Skills or Experiences:

• Retail Management Experience
• Experience with EPICOR Eagle
• Horticulture expertise

Your Future Work Schedule:

Our retail stores are open 7 days a week and we are busiest on the weekend. We are looking for teammates that can work weekends and be flexible to accommodate the changing retail environment. Please make sure you list your availability on the application.
